Pre-Holiday Chaos!

Isn't going on holiday meant to be an exciting time? The thought of no work for ten days, seeing a new country, eating original cusine and absorbing some culture darrrrling!
For me, however, the pending workload that needs wading through before the holiday begins is somewhat daunting and kills any excitment right there in its tracks.
As I glare at my 'To Do List' which is still incredibly long despite the flight leaving early Friday morning, inside I cry, weep, sob frantically. How on Earth am I going to get all this done? For any kind of chance I will need to acquire super-woman powers pretty pronto!
But I know I can do it. I have faith. Where there's a will there's a way and all that...
So where am I going on my travels? Egypt! Home to pyramids, mummies, the River Nile, tombs and God knows what else.
"Make sure you take lots of Immodium," numerous ex-Egypt travellers have warned me. That thought doesnt conjure up particularly pleasant images, but I imagine they are only telling me for my own good. I'm taking an extra large box just in case. At some point I will get round to packing, which actually I must confess, I am rather good at. I have to start my packing a couple of days before the plane leaves and add to it every now and then when something enters my head at sporadic times of the day. If I was the 'leave it till the last minute' kind of person, I would most certainly forget half the essential items, I just know it. So when I've wound up this blog, I'm going to seek the suitcase out my wardrobe and begin to fill it. And when I return from Egypt, I may even let you know how it was, if you're lucky!

Hasta I get back
